The Second International Conference on
Aviation Archaeology and Heritage
Online, 14-15 November 2024
Call for Papers
We are pleased to announce the Second International Conference on Aviation Archaeology and Heritage, which will be hosted online in November of 2024. The conference is being organized by Aviation Cultures Conference in collaboration with the University of Southern Queensland and serves as a continuation of the successful inaugural event held in 2017 in Malta.
Building on the 2017 conference’s collaborative spirit, we invite abstracts from those involved in the fields of archaeology, aviation heritage management, and community-driven aviation heritage groups to delve into the historical aspects of aviation but also explore innovative methods for preserving aviation heritage for future generations. We welcome diverse contributions, from theoretical approaches to practical case studies, that advance methodologies or inform policy in archaeology and heritage management. Your interdisciplinary insights will contribute to a broader appreciation of aviation heritage and its enduring impact on society.
Please submit your abstract, of no more than 200 words, via our online submission form here:
Submissions close 1 August 2024.
This will be a truly global event, held online via Zoom, over several days and time zones. Registration will be free!
If you have any questions please email info@aviationcultures.org
We look forward to your participation in the Second International Conference on Aviation Archaeology and Heritage!
