The fantastic Aviation Cultures Mk.VIII Conference is, sadly, now over! The Aviation Cultures Mk.VIII Conference took place in June 2026. It was international, in Canada, in partnership with two great organisations, the Canadian Aviation Historical Society (CAHS) at the KF Centre for Excellence at Kelowna, BC. FULL PROGRAMME:

This Conference, Mk.VIII, was a collaboration with the Canadian Aviation Historical Society (CAHS) at the KF Centre for Excellence. It was in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada and online, 17-20 June 2026. The Aviation Cultures Mk.VIII Conference was led by co-organisers Edward Soye, in Canada, James Kightly and Phil Vabre from Australia, and backed by the Aviation Cultures team.

The highly-experienced Canadian Aviation Historical Society will continued their Convention process, with both teams working jointly to have brought the best of both worlds, ably hosted by the KF Centre for Excellence team, with the full value Aviation Cultures online experience.

The KF Centre for Excellence say that they are “Proud to host events that bring aviation to life through education, collaboration, and community. This conference reflects exactly that. Connecting global perspectives with local impact and inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals.”

Attending the combined event was open to all: CAHS members, Aviation Cultures participants, university students, aerospace and aviation industry professionals, academics, professionals in aviation or heritage associations, and aviation enthusiasts of every kind. The focus will was on history, and much more. Past CAHS conventions have included online attendance; the partnership with Aviation Cultures allows a greater online component and worldwide participation.

This event was fully immersed in the aircraft, artifacts, and stories housed at the KF Centre for Excellence, offering a one-of-a-kind learning experience.

Wednesday 17 June:
• 7 pm to 9:30 pm – Meet and Greet reception (all attendees; spouses and guests
welcome at an additional charge)
Thursday 18 June:
• 8:30 am to 4:30 pm – convention sessions
• Free evening

Friday 19 June:
• 8:30 am to 4:30 pm – morning tours of the KF Centre for Excellence aircraft and
KF Aerospace; convention sessions
• 6 pm to 9:30 pm – reception and banquet at the Four Points Sheraton

Saturday 20 June:
• 8:30 am to 10:30 am – CAHS annual general meeting
• 10:30 am to 4:30 pm – convention sessions
• Free evening
Sunday 21 June:
• 8 am to 10 am – farewell breakfast (details to be confirmed).
